## What it is
Sonor is a SaaS platform that ingests open noise data and turns it into actionable cartography and recommendations for city teams. Urbanists, environmental health and mobility services use it to map exposure, prioritize interventions, and justify policy with evidence.

## Why it exists
Noise is the second environmental cause of disease burden in Europe after air quality, yet most cities did not have a working interface on top of their own data. Sonor closed that gap, from raw open data to something a public sector team can act on in a meeting.

## How it works
1. Aggregates open acoustic data and complementary sources (mobility, urban form).
2. Generates per-street cartography and exposure layers.
3. Surfaces ranked recommendations for interventions.
4. Frames everything in the language of public sector decision-making, not signal processing.

## Outcomes and signals
- 0 to 1 product taken from concept to live SaaS used by European cities.
- Backed by Matrice and Banque des Territoires.
- 20K EUR in non-dilutive grants.
- Two-year operational run with paying public sector customers.

## Convictions
- Public sector software is a hospitality discipline. The product has to meet civil servants where they are, not lecture them.
- Data without an interface is not a service.
- A B2G product lives or dies on the quality of its onboarding and the legibility of its recommendations.
